Oklahoma Gas & Electric (OG&E) has asked the Oklahoma Corporation Commission for a $73 million rate increase. This will equate to a $6.50 increase for residential customers per month.

AARP believes Oklahomans deserve a rate DECREASE – not an increase.

An electric rate increase could force Oklahoma seniors to choose between food, medications and electricity. Based on a recent AARP survey, we know that nearly half of Oklahomans surveyed are having trouble paying their monthly utility bills.
