It has been more than a year since COVID-19 came to Connecticut, and since then, more than 14,000 of our state's nursing home residents have been infected with the virus, and more than 3,800 have died. Legislators are considering a bill that would improve nursing home staffing levels, implement stricter infection control measures, ensure that facilities have adequate stockpiles of personal protective equipment, and put protections in place to make sure that residents do not experience the same levels of social isolation that we've seen this year.
