Thank You for Protecting Hoosiers from Scams!

Recently, the Indiana General Assembly concluded its session. One important piece of legislation, House Enrolled Act 1116 – Virtual Currency Kiosks, was approved in a nearly unanimous vote and signed by Governor Mike Braun. This new law bans cryptocurrency kiosks, also known as crypto ATMs, across the entire state.

Crypto kiosks have increasingly been used by scammers to pressure people into sending money quickly and irreversibly, often wiping out thousands of dollars of Hoosiers’ hard-earned money. By supporting HEA 1116, the General Assembly and Governor Braun took decisive action to shut down a major fraud pipeline and protect residents across the state.
