We pay into Social Security our entire working lives. Social Security is the largest source of income for most retirees and it helps put food on the table, pay for medication, and keep the lights on at home.

However, Social Security could reach a projected shortfall in the next decade, and some lawmakers want to cut Social Security to deal with the nation’s debt. So, we’re asking people 50-plus — who are the deciders in elections — to remind candidates to protect our hard-earned money.
