Wisconsinites Want Action on Crypto Kiosks--Add Your Name to the List!

Cryptocurrency kiosks are being used by scammers to steal millions from Wisconsinites because they lack fraud protection measures that apply to financial institutions. There are currently over 700 cryptocurrency kiosks in Wisconsin, and law enforcement officials across the state say these machines are a serious issue.

That’s why AARP is working to introduce legislation that puts common sense consumer protections in place to stop criminals from exploiting crypto kiosks. This includes limiting daily transactions to $2,000 per user per day, limiting the fees charged by kiosk operators and allowing scam victims to receive refunds
