Wisconsin's 2026 Election marks an unprecedented time in Wisconsin politics. The current Governor, Assembly Speaker and Senate Majority Leader aren't running for re-election. Our state government will have all new leaders in 2027.

Voters 50+ cast the majority of ballots, election after election. AARP Wisconsin is urging all Wisconsinites to use their voice and ask candidates where they stand on:

Addressing the Retirement Savings Crisis: More than 1 in 3 Wisconsinites lack access to an employer-sponsored retirement savings plan. A public-private retirement savings option is needed. 

Supporting Family Caregivers: Wisconsin's more than 1 million family caregivers provide an estimated $11.1 billion in unpaid care per year, holding up our broken long-term care system. They deserve financial relief. 

Stopping Financial Exploitation: Older adults are having their entire life savings stolen from them by criminals. We need policies that prevent fraud and support victims like a restitution fund. 

Strengthening Social Security: You’ve contributed to Social Security your entire working life and you deserve this earned benefit to be there for you. Congress needs to work together to make sure Social Security remains strong and solvent for current and future generations.
