Negotiate Medicare Rx Prices, Senator Manchin

As one of your constituents and an AARP member, I urge you to … strengthen Medicare and oppose any attempt to cut these benefits … update Social Security to ensure that older Americans receive 100% of the benefits we have earned … and fight back against the rapidly-increasing cost of prescription drugs. Americans have paid into Medicare and Social Security over their lifetimes, and they count on these two programs for a healthy and secure retirement. And seniors should not be forced to choose between the medicines they need to enjoy active lives and basics such as food. Do the right thing, and act in the interests of your older constituents.

I also urge you to cap the total out-of-pocket costs that seniors spend on drugs.
