Larry Zarzecki worked his whole life and saved for retirement. The former police officer watched his savings evaporate because of high prescription drug prices.

Americans pay more than THREE times what people in other countries pay for the same medicine. People like Larry need to sell their homes to pay for medication, while Big Pharma makes billions in profits.

It’s time to remind our elected officials that voters 50+ are a major force in every election — and we’re sick and tired of Congress promising to lower drug prices and failing to deliver. Tell Congress: Enact a plan that lowers drug prices now.

AARP members like me are fed up with waiting for a solution to out-of-control drug prices. Please fix this immediately and enact a plan that lowers prescription drug prices.

U.S. consumers often pay more than three times as much for the same prescription drugs as people in other countries. And drug prices keep going up, even for medications that have been on the market for decades. Last year, in the middle of the pandemic, drug companies increased the price of over 1,000 drugs, including those for chronic conditions that people over age 50 depend on. It’s just wrong.

It would be a monumental mistake for Congress not to act and improve the lives of virtually every American family. Overwhelming majorities across party lines want Congress to pass legislation that would lower drug prices.

Voters 50+ are a major force in every election, and we expect you to keep your promises to look out for your constituents. I will be watching to see if you act and deliver on legislation to lower prescription drug prices.
