Support HB 5227 & Create a Community Ombudsman
Connecticut has an excellent Long-Term Care Ombudsman Program that provides support and advocacy to individuals who receive care in nursing homes and other institutional long-term care settings.
With more people than ever choosing to receive their long-term care at home instead of in a nursing home, now is the time for Connecticut to create a Community Ombudsman Program for Home Care.
This program would be housed within the existing Long-Term Care Ombudsman Program and help people who receive home care access information, support, and quality services.
