After years of speaking out and sharing our stories, Congress finally passed the historic Inflation Reduction Act to lower Rx prices! This bill allows Medicare to negotiate for lower drug prices for the first time ever, penalizes drugmakers for increasing their Medicare plan prices higher than inflation, adds a $2,000 out-of-pocket cap on Medicare Part D, and caps Medicare co-pay costs for insulin.

This win was hard fought — Big Pharma and its expensive lobbyists were doing everything in their power to drown out our voices so Congress wouldn’t act — but our community of 38 million advocates never backed down.
