Oppose AB 470 / SB 481

Utility rates are an essential pocketbook issue for Wisconsin residents 50-plus and their families, many of whom struggle to pay their utility bills along with other household expenses like food and medicine.

AARP is calling on state legislators to oppose AB 470 / SB 481.

The bill (AB 470 / SB 481) is a so-called "Right of First Refusal" transmission bill. However, it essentially allows utilities companies to avoid competition, which makes them less inclined to keep rates reasonable.

Tell your lawmaker to oppose AB 470 / SB 481 & keep utility rates reasonable!
