AARP Wyoming - Rocky Mountain Power Petition 2026

Another year, another attempted rate hike by Rocky Mountain Power. This is the third in three years. It’s time to tell Rocky Mountain that enough is enough.

This year, they want to raise your power bill by 8.8% - that's more than $104 a year for the average Rocky Mountain Power customer. While this means less money in your pocket, it would net Rocky Mountain Power an extra $70 million per year.

This rate case is complicated and unnecessarily so. It claims it costs more to serve customers in Wyoming than it does other states. It has a two-step increase, and is trying to get you to pay for improvements that probably don’t benefit Wyoming customers.

The Public Service Commission will decide this case and wants to hear from you. If you oppose this increase, let the PSC know by SIGNING OUR PETITION.

I urge The Wyoming Public Service Commission to reject the proposal (Docket No. 18134) by Rocky Mountain Power that will raise electric utility rates by 8.8% in Wyoming, starting in 2027.
