Oppose Opt Out Municipal Aggregation
Opt‑out municipal aggregation allows towns to change residents’ electric suppliers without prior consent.
Although the policy is often promoted as a way to provide lower rates and more renewable options, it may ultimately lead to higher costs by undermining the standard service option preferred by most ratepayers.
Many residents choose standard service due to past predatory practices by third‑party electric suppliers. The decision to change electric suppliers should remain with individuals and not the government.
