Negotiate Medicare Rx Prices, Senator Ossoff

Dear Senator Ossoff,

As one of your constituents and as an AARP member, I urge you to oppose the TRUST Act, which is being considered on Capitol Hill. The TRUST Act will unfairly target Social Security and put at risk the benefits we have paid for through years of hard work. You must protect and strengthen Social Security, Medicare and other programs that are vital to Americans 50+. We must also ensure that everyone, especially Americans 50+, have access to FDA-authorized COVID-19 vaccines.  And we must also lower out-of-control prescription drug prices and ensure the preservation and improvement of the Affordable Care Act. Moving forward, I urge you to act on behalf of your older constituents.

As one of your constituents and as an AARP member, I urge you to fully consider the needs of Americans 50+, like me, as you determine how to address the coronavirus and its consequences. These difficult times further highlight the need to protect and strengthen Social Security and Medicare, and that’s why the TRUST Act must be defeated. We also must ensure that everyone has easy access to safe and free COVID-19 vaccines. Nursing homes and long-term care facilities need the resources to protect the lives and health of their residents. And too many Americans 50+ are hungry and require access to adequate nutrition. I also ask that you preserve and improve the Affordable Care Act and lower the price of prescription drugs. As we proceed, I urge you to act on behalf of your constituents.
