TAKE ACTION!
We pay some of the highest prescription drug prices in the world, and older New Yorkers with limited incomes are struggling to afford the medications they need. Meanwhile, drug companies are striking secretive “pay-for-delay" deals that can reduce or delay competition in the marketplace from lower-cost generic drugs. That’s not right.
The New York State Senate has passed bill S.488, which would require the disclosure of these pay-for-delay agreements between drug companies. Now, it is up to the Assembly to pass corresponding legislation (bill A.2289) so it can go to the Governor’s desk for approval.
Please urge your Assemblymember to pass this bill to drag these shady pay-for-delay agreements between prescription drug manufacturers out into the daylight.
