Stop Cryptocurrency ATM Fraud
Scammers are getting smarter, and Utahns are paying the price. Criminals are utilizing cryptocurrency ATMs to commit fraud, costing Utahns millions. According to the FBI, between January and November 2025, $333.5 million was stolen from victims of cryptocurrency ATM fraud.
Efforts are underway to put an end to this ever-growing fraud. Representative Ryan Wilcox is sponsoring HB 72, Criminal Use of Cryptocurrency Amendments. His bill would implement daily transaction limits, fee limits, and law enforcement training.
