Tell the Florida PSC to reject the FPL settlement!
Florida Power & Light (FPL) and corporate interest groups have filed a settlement proposal that would raise rates and place an unfair burden on residential customers.
In a first-of-its-kind move, the Office of Public Counsel and consumer advocates responded with their own alternative settlement that is far more favorable for Floridians. The Florida Public Service Commission (PSC) will hold hearings October 6–17 in Tallahassee to consider both proposals before making a final decision later this year.
AARP Florida will testify on behalf of residential ratepayers, but your voice is just as important. Regulators need to hear directly from the people who will feel these rate hikes in their monthly bills.
Tell the PSC how a rate hike would affect you and your family. Every comment adds weight to the concerns of residential customers and sends a clear message: Floridians come first, not corporate profits.
