Tell your senator: Keep your promises on lowering drug prices

We showed up in force at The People's Hearing to say it’s outrageous: Americans pay THREE times what people in other countries pay for the same medicine. That’s a sweetheart deal for Big Pharma, who makes billions in profits. Tell the Senate the we won't tolerate it any longer!

Voters 50+ are a major force in every election — and we’re sick and tired of Congress promising to lower drug prices and failing to deliver. The big drug companies may have millions to spend on fancy advertising and lobbyists but they don't have us!

Americans across the country spoke loud and clear -- we are fed up waiting for a solution to out-of-control drug prices. Please fix this immediately and pass a plan that lets Medicare negotiate for lower prescription drug prices.  No more promises, no more blaming other members of the Senate.  As a constituent, I am demanding that YOU take action now.

During The People's Hearing, we heard heart-wrenching stories of Americans across the country struggling because U.S. consumers pay three times as much for the same prescription drugs as people in other countries. And drug prices keep going up, even for medications that have been on the market for decades. Last year, in the middle of the pandemic, drug companies increased the price of over 1,000 drugs, including those for chronic conditions that people over age 50 depend on. It’s just wrong.

It would be a monumental mistake for YOU not to act and improve the lives of virtually every American family. If you really want to combat inflation, you would lower drug prices and put money back in people's pockets. Overwhelming majorities across party lines want Congress to pass legislation that would lower drug prices.  Americans spoke.  Now, YOU must listen.

Voters 50+ are a major force in every election, and I expect you to keep your promises to look out for your constituents. I will be watching to see if you act and deliver on legislation to let Medicare negotiate to lower prescription drug prices.
