Often times it can be a challenge when you or a loved one needs access to a primary care provider. Waiting times can be long just to get an appointment for a physical or treatment for a chronic disease, such as diabetes and high blood pressure.

AARP West Virginia-supported House Bill 4334 will address these issues by changing outdated regulations and allowing Nurse Practitioners to provide primary care - increasing consumer access to health care services. These Nurse Practitioners provide flexibility by serving in a diverse range of locations, including community health centers, medical offices, and in the home.

Your legislator will soon be voting on HB 4334, which gives West Virginians the opportunity to support 300,000 family caregivers and their loved one with access to high quality primary care services from skilled Nurse Practitioners - joining 21 other states and the District of Columbia in revising out-dated and over-regulated health care rules.

You can help today by sending a message to your legislator TODAY to ask for a YES vote on HB 4334 Nurse Practitioners bill.
