Say NO SB 1501 and Oppose Special Deals for Millstone Nuclear Power Without Disclosure!

The Millstone Nuclear Power Station in Connecticut and claims that the plant is unprofitable.   They are seeking legislation to set up a special deal that would allow them to charge more for the  power they generate for Connecticut. Currently Dominion Power has refused to provide regulators in CT with any data to support their claims of financial need.  Why should legislators approve a special deal for Millstone that will increase their profits and your electric rates at the same time they refuse to demonstrate need to regulators.

Legislators should not approve any deal that places additional fincial burden on ratepayers in Connecticut, who already pay the highest electric rates in the Continential United States.

Send a letter to your state representative and ask them to oppose Senate Bill 1501, a bill that would provide a special deal for Millstone in spite of their refusal to cooperate with regulators on disclore of their potential need!

Dear [Decision Maker],

I'm writing to voice my opposition to Senate Bill 1501 that is currently under consideration in the special session of the legislature. This special deal for Millstone Nuclear Power will raise my electric rates.

Electricity is not a luxury; it is a necessity for my health and safety. Please Oppose Senate Bill 1501and vote no unless Millstone will open its books to regulators in exchange for special treatment!

Sincerely,
