Tax Savings Should be Returned to Ratepayers!

The new federal tax code reduced corporate tax rates from 35% to 21%. For utility companies in New York, that means they'll be paying $750 million less in taxes than anticipated in 2018. Instead of becoming a windfall of profits for the utility companies, this money should be returned to ratepayers to provide relief from our sky high utility bills. Governor Cuomo called for these funds to be returned to ratepayers, and many other states have already done so, but New York has yet to act.

Please take a moment to urge the Public Service Commission to return all tax savings to ratepayers immediately.
