Ask Your Legislator To Support a COLA For State Retirees

AARP Wyoming is supporting House Bill 314, which would offer a Cost of Living Adjustment or COLA to state retirees. This would be the first time in 10 years that state employees have received a cost of living adjustment, despite the fact inflation has risen some 20 percent since 2008. In this age of tight budgets, it will take a strong effort from grassroots advocates like you to get this proposed legislation to Governor Mark Gordon’s desk. Tell your legislator how a COLA would impact your life and how a lack of a COLA has held you back.
