Tell your legislators to support commonsense solutions to lower prescription drug prices today.

Minnesotans depend on their prescriptions -- from cancer treatments to EpiPens -- drug companies' skyrocketing prices are pushing life-saving treatments out of reach for those who need them. We pay among the highest prescription drug prices in the world so drug companies can make billions.  No one should have to choose between buying medicine or buying food for our families. That's not just wrong — it's shameful.

It's time for Minnesota legislators to take action to protect seniors and all taxpayers from price gouging by drug companies. Tell your legislators to support commonsense solutions to lower prescription drug prices today!

Dear [Decision Maker],

As your constituent, I urge you to act now to cut prescription drug prices for seniors and all taxpayers. Minnesotans depend on their prescriptions -- from cancer treatment to EpiPens -- drug companies' skyrocketing prices are putting life-saving treatments out of reach for far too many.

What's more, these outrageously high prices affect all Minnesotans by raising taxes, premiums, and out of pocket costs for everyone. Drug companies spent $6.1 billion marketing their products to consumers in 2017. It's not fair to make consumers foot the bill for big drug companies' lobbyists and flashy marketing campaigns.

As a first step, I urge you to support legislation that requires drug companies to come clean about their costs (HF1246; Morrinson/ SF 1098; Rosen).

But we need more than just transparency. We must also provide relief for those struggling to afford needed medications.

Please also support legislation prohibiting drug manufacturers from price gouging. This bill give the Minnesota Attorney General authority to take civil action against drug manufacturers to stop price gouging (HF4; Lesch/ SF1518; Klein).

Minnesota families can't afford to keep paying for prescription drugs that cost more than they earn in a year.

I'm counting on you to stop Rx greed.

Sincerely,
