Support Older Adults in the NYC Budget

Urge City Lawmakers to Help Older New Yorkers Age at Home!

Whether it’s help with bathing and dressing, light housekeeping, home delivered meals, or transportation to and from a doctor’s office, thousands of older New Yorkers are in need of a little bit of help to allow them to continue living at home.

AARP in New York City is fighting for common sense solutions to help older New Yorkers remain in their homes, where they want to be, but we need your help to succeed.

Please send a message to Mayor de Blasio and your city council member today. Urge them to increase funding for city services at home, like home care and adult day care to help more older adults.

Please support older New Yorkers in the city budget

Dear [Decision Maker],

Overwhelmingly, older New Yorkers want to remain in their homes and communities as they age, but across the city, many need help to live independently and age in place.

I urge you to support these older New Yorkers in the city budget by increasing funding for these vital home and community-based services so city residents can remain at home.

Sincerely,
