Your Voice Can Make The Difference

With the Kansas Legislature about to return for the Veto Session on May 1, AARP Kansas urges State Senators to vote YES on House Bill 2066 to expand Medicaid health care, without harmful restrictions.

Without a YES vote from State Senators on House Bill 2066, Kansans will lose out on about $500 million in federal funding to expand Medicaid health care. Not only will the state lose money, but tens of thousands of hardworking Kansans won’t be able to get affordable health care. These workers are age 50 to 64 and many of their employers don’t offer health coverage.

The Kansas House of Representatives already passed House Bill 2066 to expand Medicaid health care and bring millions of dollars into Kansas. Now it’s up to State Senators to vote YES on House Bill 2066 to boost the economy, create jobs, keep rural hospitals open—and help hardworking Kansans.
