The Numbers are Clear! Marylanders Want a Prescription Drug Affordability Board

81% of Marylanders Want Rx Affordability

Ask Governor Hogan to sign the Prescription Drug Affordability Board into law.

A statewide public opinion poll by Gonzales Research shows overwhelming bipartisan for HB 768, the Prescription Drug Affordability Board. In a survey conducted in April 2019, Gonzales found that 81% of voters favor the Maryland General Assembly’s recently passed legislation to create a Prescription Drug Affordability Board in the state. Support held firm across counties, legislative districts, and party lines. Now, we must ask Governor Hogan to sign the bill into law.

Thankfully, the Maryland General Assembly, with the unanimous support of Maryland’s county leaders and a broad coalition of community partners, passed a bipartisan measure to enact the Prescription Drug Affordability Board. The pharmaceutical companies are continuing to fight this bill tooth and nail, because they don’t want to reveal their pricing schemes. We must now ask Governor Hogan to put people before profits and support this measure as an important step to ending Rx Greed.

The Prescription Drug Affordability Board legislation is now on Governor Hogan’s desk. With just two bill signing sessions left to take action, now is the time to contact the governor and urge him sign this common sense measure supported by the majority of Marylanders.

Please tell Governor Hogan you want a Prescription Drug Affordability Board!
