Thank Florida lawmakers for Helping Floridians Save on Prescription Drugs  

AARP Florida is sending you our thanks – and a request for your help.

First, thanks for your help in the battle to bring down the cost of prescription drugs.

As you know, Gov. Ron DeSantis and Florida lawmakers have passed important legislation to bring down the cost of prescription drugs by importing safe, affordable, FDA-approved medicines from Canada and other countries.  The legislation was championed by the governor and drew strong, bipartisan support from lawmakers.

With prescription drug costs are rising two to four times faster than inflation, millions of Floridians are having to make tough choices.  Do they pay for food, housing and utilities, or do they buy the medicines they must have to stay healthy?

Thank you Florida lawmakers for helping Floridians save on prescription drugs

Thank you for your help in passing Florida's new law allowing safe, affordable, FDA-approved prescription drugs to be imported from Canada and other countries.

Prescription drug costs have been rising two to four times as fast as inflation overall, and in some cases, costs of skyrocketed much faster. Older Floridians have had to make hard choices between paying for food, housing or utilities, or paying for the prescription drugs they need to stay healthy.

Thank you again for adopting legislation that allows safe, affordable, FDA-approved prescription drugs to be available in Florida.
