Tell your Senator, Protect Critical Funding in the FY20 Massachusetts Budget

Next week, the Massachusetts Senate begins debate on the state budget for the coming year.

As proposed the Senate state budget fails to fully fund some important programs for older adults in the Commonwealth, and we need your help to make sure not only that key programs get the support they require.

Tell your State Senator to keep seniors healthy, protected, and living in their homes with dignity

With over 1,100 amendments proposed to this year's budget, your Senator needs to hear from YOU, their constituents, as they make decisions.  Please join AARP Massachusetts in supporting these important programs.

Message

Dear [Decision Maker],

As your constituent, I'm contacting you to ask you to please support our budget efforts to keep seniors healthy and living in their homes with dignity. Programs like Meals on Wheels, SNAP, and home care services and supports make all the difference to Massachusetts seniors.

In addition, I urge you to oppose Amendment #654 as it significantly weakens the proposed language on MassHealth prescription drug supplemental rates.

Please ensure that the final Budget for Massachusetts funds the programs and services seniors depend upon.

Sincerely,
