Urge the Senate Finance Committee to Fund -- in Full -- the Kiki Saavedra Senior Dignity Fund

meals 2For the past several years, funding for senior programs has remained flat while the need for critical services continues to grow.

New Mexico seniors rely on critical home and community services to live independently at home. Services like transportation to the doctor, meals and more. It’s time to ensure these programs receive the funding they need.

House Bill 225, the Kiki Saavedra Senior Dignity Fund, is a top budget priority for AARP. It provides these programs with an infusion of $25 million. The bill, sponsored by Rep. Debbie Armstrong, is also a high priority for Gov. Michelle Lujan Grisham.

Use the form below to urge the Senate Finance Committee to support this Legislation at the full $25 million requested.

This one-time funding is vital to providing these critical services for New Mexico’s seniors.

Let the Senate Finance Committee know you support New Mexico’s Senior and they should too.

It's Time to Ensure Seniors Receive the Critical Programs They Need

Dear [Decision Maker],

For too many years now, senior programs have taken a backseat to other state priorities and it's time to fix that.

House Bill 225, the Kiki Saavedra Senior Dignity Fund will provide $25 million to provide critical senior programs across the state. New Mexico seniors rely on critical home and community services in order to live independently. Services like transportation to the doctor, meals and more. Please ensure these programs receive the funding they need.

With New Mexico's aging population quickly growing, the need for such services will only continue to increase. It is critical that these programs receive the full $25 million requested.

Please don't make New Mexico's seniors wait any longer for the vital services they need. Please Vote Yes on HB225 and let our older citizens age with dignity and respect.

Sincerely,
