Family Caregivers Need Healthcare Too!

Missouri’s nearly 800,000 family caregivers provide services worth over $8 billion.  Were it not for these family caregivers, many of their loved ones would find themselves on Medicaid, in a nursing home, costing the State of Missouri millions of dollars.

Family caregivers are not freeloaders, they work hard with few breaks, just to care for their aging or disabled loved ones.  The Work Reporting Requirements for Medicaid that the General Assembly is considering this year, would make it so that family caregivers, who often have to leave work to care for their loved ones, would not be eligible for Medicaid, even after expansion.

Tell your State Senator to oppose Work Reporting Requirements and support family caregivers.

Dear [Decision Maker],

Missouri's nearly 800,000 unpaid family caregivers provide over $8 Billion worth of care to their loved ones. Without those caregivers, many more older and disabled Missourians would find themselves in need of Medicaid.

Missouri Caregivers deserve healthcare. They've worked tirelessly to care for older and disabled Missourians, sacrificing their jobs and their free time to do so.

Please oppose Medicaid Work Reporting Requirements and support Missouri's family caregivers.

Sincerely,
