Early next week, the Tennessee House Health Committee will consider a bill that provides much-needed support for the 439,000 Tennesseans providing unpaid care for a loved one living with Alzheimer’s.

The Options for Dementia Care Program is a proposed pilot program that would provide support services to those with Alzheimer’s while living alone or are being cared for in-home by a family member or unpaid caregiver. These critical services will include respite care, personal care and homemaker services as well as home-delivered meals.

Please take a moment to urge your State House member to support HB1889.
