As we continue to struggle through this pandemic, please address the concerns of seniors to protect their financial security, health, and food security.

As an AARP member, I ask that Congress:

- Act immediately to stem the loss of life and improve conditions in America's nursing homes and long-term care facilities. 
Increase the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) benefits and expand grocery delivery options for older adults. Older Americans make up a significant portion of households receiving SNAP benefits, and these changes will help Americans fight hunger, stock up and avoid unnecessary trips to the grocery store. 
- Provide financial relief for family caregivers through a targeted tax credit and recovery payment. Emergency paid family leave should also be extended to cover individuals caring for an adult loved one. 
- Make any coronavirus treatment and vaccine affordable, and lower prescription drug prices so people can afford the medicines they need.
- Protect pensions by including funding for endangered plans to protect the much-needed retirement income of workers, retirees, and their families.

Please help older Americans confront the economic and health impacts of the coronavirus. Enacting these priorities will provide immediate and meaningful relief across the country.
