The New York State Legislature returned for an extraordinary summer legislative session this month, and the bill - S.8805/A.6679B - passed both houses!
This legislation aiming to increase access to high-speed broadband service across the state would help to revitalize rural communities, combat social isolation, expand telemedicine services, and improve the quality of life of all New Yorkers.
Expanding high-speed internet (also known as broadband) and fiber optic services in New York is vitally important. As so many New Yorkers are now working from home, a lack of reliable internet access can make it extremely difficult for people to keep or obtain a job.
Please take a moment to send a message to Governor urging him to sign this legislation (S.8805/A.6679B) into law.
