We need your help to pass SB 1383 and protect working California caregivers from losing their jobs when they take time off work to care for a seriously-ill family member. These protections are needed now more than ever during the COVID-19 health crisis.

Specifically, SB1383 makes the following important changes:
• Allows family caregivers to take time off to care for a loved one—without fear of losing their jobs.
• Expands the definition of family in California’s existing paid family leave law to include siblings, adult children, grandparents, grandchildren and in-laws to fit the reality of California’s diverse and multigenerational families.

PLEASE TAKE ACTION by sending a message to your state Assembymember, asking them to stand up for working California caregivers by voting YES on SB 1383.
We’re counting on you to help ensure that all Californians can take the time they need to care for themselves and their loved ones when and if they become ill.
