Tell Legislators to Protect 50+ Voters

As our nation battles a pandemic and economic downturn, the health and financial security of
voters over 50 are on the line. Ohio's Secretary of State Frank LaRose has a plan and the existing
budget dollars to pay for return postage of ballots.
Tell your legislators that you support this plan to keep Ohio voters safe.

Protect Ohio's Voters Today

Dear [Decision Maker],

As our nation battles a pandemic and economic downturn, the health and financial security of voters over 50 is on the line. For more than 40 years, Ohio's older voters have participated in elections at a rate that significantly outpaces the turnout of younger voters.

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention reports that people over 65 years of age and those with serious health conditions seem to be at the highest risk for severe disease and even death from COVID-19 related illness.

As Ohioans of all ages evaluate their options for casting their vote safely, you, as the legislative leadership, have the responsibility to make sure this process is as safe and seamless as possible, without any additional expense.

Please support Secretary of State LaRose's request to use his office's existing budget funds to provide paid return postage for vote by mail ballots.

I strongly support Secretary LaRose's plan to provide paid return postage for all Ohioans who choose to vote by mail and urge you to do the same- especially when the funds exist to do so today.

Sincerely,
