Thank Governor Bryan for Making the Virgin Islands More Livable for All
Governor Albert Bryan signed two of the three livable community bills into the law, changing the trajectory of aging in the Virgin Islands.
Your advocacy efforts led to the re-establishment of the Commission on Aging and, the construction of beach ramps within the territory’s beaches but there’s still more to be done. The Complete Streets Policy which establishes a task force that provides oversight on the design and construction of roadways was vetoed by Governor Bryan. With your continued hard work, we can urge the members of the 34th Legislature to vote yes to return Complete Streets to the Governor.
AARP in the Virgin Islands thanks Governor Bryan and members of the 33rd Legislature who authored these bills and guided it successfully through this legislature for all of their efforts to ensure Virgin Islanders can live, and age with dignity.
Send an email to Governor Bryan and thank him for passing these Bills.
