Nursing homes are still in crisis – help AARP raise the alarm!

AARP is fighting to protect vulnerable seniors in nursing homes, assisted living
and other long-term care facilities from sickness, isolation and neglect during
the coronavirus pandemic, which has now taken more than 100,000 lives.
We’re urging Congress and state officials to make sure residents and staff are tested for
the virus; facilities have adequate personal protective equipment like masks, gloves and
gowns; families can visit with their loved safely in-person and virtually through phone or
video chat; residents can go back to their nursing home if they are hospitalized; facilities
inform families—and make public—the number of residents or staff that have tested
positive for coronavirus, and much more.
Do you have a spouse, parent, sibling, or other loved one that has been impacted
by COVID-19 in a nursing home or other long-term care facility? Tell us what’s
happening, and how the coronavirus has affected your family, so we can better
fight for you.
