Vote YES to lower drug costs
Join the fight to lower prescription drug prices for all Virginians
Virginians are paying among the highest prices in the world for the medicine they need. It's outrageous. No one should have to choose between buying medicine and paying for food or rent. That’s why we’re fighting for the Virginia General Assembly to pass legislation to create a prescription drug affordability board with SB 957.
Tell your legislator to support a prescription drug affordability board.
In 2021, 24% of Virginians stopped taking medications as prescribed due to cost. Between 2015 and 2019, the average increase in the annual cost of prescription drugs rose by 26.3%, while the average income in Virginia increased by only 16.7%.
Virginians want their leaders to help. Nearly 2/3 of voters across the state are worried about being able to afford prescriptions for themselves or their loved ones. More than half support the creation of a prescription drug affordability board.
Please take a moment to send a message to your state legislators and urge them to make prescription drugs more affordable by passing SB 957.
